Summary/Abstract: Relationship management is the building of a relationship between a group within an organisation and a group outside the organisation in order to optimise long-term benefits. The relationships between prison staff and prisoners are very important, as they play a significant role in the entire process of serving a sentence and contribute to achieving specific outcomes of the resocialisation process. Appropriate management of a team of penitentiary staff requires effective formulation of goals arising from an analysis of challenges and threats, but also from the ability to motivate and use various communication channels. Penitentiary resocialisation is a way of making specific changes in prisoners' personalities, and as a result of this corrective influence, desired changes in behaviour are achieved. The implementation of resocialisation methods and procedures aims to contribute to a change in the convict's personality in terms of their attitudes, which in turn means that they will not want to commit another crime, participating instead in social adaptation and reintegration.
