Summary/Abstract: The aim of this review study is to examine the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and its derivatives in individuals with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). A systematic review method was employed in this study, and no field study or specific scale was utilized. The studies included in this review range from 1999 to 2025. These studies consist of experimental research, case reports, and review articles. This review study was carried out in two stages, between January 2026 and March 2026. As a result of the literature search, 14 studies were included. These 14 studies demonstrated that CBT (particularly exposure and response prevention) is an effective therapy method in reducing symptom severity, increasing treatment compliance, and accelerating recovery. Furthermore, it was found that the addition of CBT to the process in cases non-responsive to medication, and new-generation approaches such as I-CBT, are effective methods for achieving results in a short period. It was observed that after these interventions were applied to individuals with OCD, symptoms decreased significantly and functionality increased. Therefore, CBT-based approaches are effective methods in the treatment of OCD.
