Summary/Abstract: Jakub Konečný (born 1990) has been studying Cultural Anthropology and the Theory and History of Dramatic Arts at the Faculty of Arts, Palacký University Olomouc, since 2011. He currently collaborates on the "Memory of the Nation" (Paměť národa) project and is active in the non-profit organization Brontosaurus Movement; through the latter, he organized the "Pestrovečer" multicultural festival in Mikulčice (March 2013) and a volunteer camp supporting Czech expatriates in Serbia (July 2013). His bachelor's thesis focuses on the impact of development projects on the expatriate community in Serbia. I asked him about the work of Czech volunteers in the Serbian Banat region, where the Brontosaurus Movement organized a camp for the first time this year—"Little Czechia Beyond the Danube" (Malé Česko za Dunajem)—to support the expatriate community in the village of Češko Selo.
