Summary/Abstract: The 15th century was a period of significant turning points in Turkish-Georgian relations. During this century, many different Turkish states sought to establish their dominance over Georgia and exerted their influence in the region through various activities. Therefore, unlike other centuries, evaluating the subject independently and based on Georgian sources from the period reveals the beginning of the uninterrupted relationship established between the two countries in a historical context. This study examines the period of intense Turkish Georgian relations in the 15th century from a multidimensional perspective. The process, which began with Emir Timur's campaigns against Georgia, continued with the disintegration of the United Georgian Kingdom, followed by the raids of the Aq-Qoyunlu and Qara-Qoyunlu Turkmen tribes on the region and the political consequences of these raids. The study also evaluates Georgia's efforts to develop diplomatic relations with European states and the Papacy during the same period and includes the Ottoman Empire's first military activities in the region. The study also emphasises the role played by the Georgian Orthodox Church as both a religious and political actor. Ultimately, Georgia became a border and interaction zone between the Turkic-Islamic world and Christian Western Europe from this century onwards; this position deeply affected the country's internal dynamics and foreign relations.
