Summary/Abstract: Management represents both an art and a science, involving the ability to influence the actions of others in order to achieve established objectives. To be effective managers in national security and law enforcement activities, individuals must demonstrate determination, the ability to manage ambiguity and insecurity among subordinates, critical situations, the desire to hold decision-making power, and perseverance. They must also have the ability to understand others' perspectives, cope with stress, and possess the necessary knowledge to effectively manage relationships with colleagues and subordinates. Studies on managerial activity highlight that the manager is a crucial element within the organization. Subordinates feel the need to be guided in the right direction, to clearly understand their goals, and the consequences of their actions. They want to be informed about their position within the organization, the future direction, and the impact of decisions on them. It is essential for managers to inspire the team and set an example of conduct. The manager's role is characterized by tasks, authority, and responsibilities, and their effectiveness is closely linked to their ability to maximize the potential of subordinates through competence and developed leadership skills. Managers working in institutions with a focus on national security and law enforcement represent the central figure of the "street theater".
