Summary/Abstract: The article discusses, through the eyes of a participant and co-creator of the project, the activities, significance and functioning of the international volunteer initiative Albanian Challenge, which has its core in the Czech Republic and aims to develop basic tourist infrastructure in remote mountainous areas of northern Albania. During its first year of existence, the project achieved almost 100% success in terms of its plans, thus creating the basis for its further activities in the coming years.
