Summary/Abstract: The article examines a previously unrecognized aspect of Wanda Szuman's biography: her role in the establishment and development of the Catholic Social School (KSS) in Poznań, particularly regarding courses for educators of closed institutions. She was placed in charge of the courses, which began in 1926 – one year before the school's official opening – due to her extensive scientific, practical, and organizational experience in factory education. In addition to her managerial responsibilities, she oversaw the curriculum, evaluated students' work, and coordinated with the Warsaw pedagogical community to ensure that the courses complied with ministerial standards. Held between 1926 and 1937, the courses were highly popular, and the formal requirements for candidates were gradually raised over time. Wanda Szuman was involved in their development until 1933, when she reduced her activities at the KSS to take over the management of the Catholic Educational Institute in Poznań. Her dedication contributed to maintaining a high standard of education at the KSS and to the advancement of modern teaching methods informed by both national and international experience. Her educational work in the capital of Wielkopolska left a lasting impact on the training of educators for closed institutions during the interwar period.
