Summary/Abstract: Our study aims to provide a possible description of Hungarian voter groups using the concept of "stress community," as introduced by Peter Sloterdijk, based on their behavioural and cohesion profiles. We adapt the German philosopher’s theory to our purpose by combining it with the securitisation paradigm and Júlia Sonnevend’s concept of charm. Using our nationally representative quantitative database, we examine correlations between voter groups and their perceptions of threats and problems. Based on the research results, it can be established that Fidesz-KDNP voters prioritise external risks (migration, war, the relationship with the EU). In contrast, left-wing and Mi Hazánk voters focus on internal political issues (corruption, rule of law). Following this, we analysed the Facebook communications of Péter Magyar and Viktor Orbán to gain insight into how Hungarian political camps are shaped by different sources of irritation.
