Summary/Abstract: "ABSTRACT: According to the specialized literature, green library certification means several things at once: institution, building, place, collection, mindset, services. The building and its elements (e.g., furniture, lighting, energy consumption) must comply with the requirements of green building certification systems, and existing buildings must be renovated in this spirit; the library must have a certain percentage of specialized literature with an ecological, environmentally-oriented perspective; in its operation and services, it must apply practices that support the objectives and implementation of human ecology and sustainable development (separate waste collection, reduction of paper consumption through digital tools etc.); the institution itself - through the organization of various programs - must play an important role in raising awareness and promoting ecologica[ thinking and green thinking in the daily life of society. ln the first part of the study, we gained insight into the ecologica[ mindset of public libraries around the world, supported by practicai examples; this time, we will analyze the extent to which aspects of human ecology (energy efficiency, responsible waste management etc.) play a role in the operation and maintenance of library buildings in Remania and what types of services and programs are characteristic, aimed at spreading knowledge related to sustainable development."
