Summary/Abstract: The present paper addresses the topic of library promotion through social media, focusing on the lnstagram platform and analysing the Bookstagram phenomenon as a potential model of good practice for libraries. The research examines both the perceptions of followers and content creators on Bookstagram, as well as the practicai experiences of libraries and librarians who have developed promotional strateg ies inspired by this trend. The study is based on a combination of quantitative data, collected through a questionnaire completed by respondents from various continents, and qualitative data, obtained from interviews conducted with content creators (both from Romania and abroad). The interviewed participants include bookstagrammers from different professional backgrounds, bookstagrammers working in book-related fields, personal Bookstagram accounts managed by librarians, and library lnstagram accounts that follow Bookstagram-specific trends. The main goal of the paper is to raise awareness of the impact libraries have on community life and their role in facilitating communication among community members. lt also aims to highlight methods of promoting reading among young people and to present examples of good practices that libraries can apply in developing their marketing strategies. Promoting the library is an essential activity in strengthening its importance within the community and in continuously improving its image as an active, accessible, and modern institution
