Summary/Abstract: This article analyzes the effectiveness of the puzzle classroom method in teaching French as a Foreign Language (FLE) to specialized audiences, particularly in mechanics. This method is based on positive interdependence : knowledge is fragmented into segments of expertise, requiring each learner to become the sole possessor of information that they must then transmit to their peers to successfully complete a shared task. The practical application focuses on a technical article concerning the social intelligence of autonomous vehicles. The study demonstrates that this approach transforms the student’s role: from a passive recipient, he becomes an engaged vocabulary (sensors, algorithms, integration), and develop critical thinking skills. Beyond language acquisition, the puzzle fosters autonomy and professional responsibility, preparing future mechanical engineers for the complex interactions of the workplace. Finally, the article emphasizes the importance of teacher guidance in transforming the emotional experience of cooperation into a lever for lasting learning.participant who must negotiate meaning, manipulate specialized
