Summary/Abstract: The present article is dedicated to the temporary exposition “Stories from the Trenches. Bulgarian Trench Art” of the Regional History Museum – Rousse and to the answer sheet investigation connected with it. The author reviews the basic themes in the exposition narrative which describes trench art in general and in particular its Bulgarian model. The poster texts within the exposition are focussedon different accents in the representation of this model: prison art, military propaganda, multiple artefacts, specific forms and materials, images and messages on the objects, front legends. The museum narrative is made dynamic by including three annotations of intriguing histories of trench art objects, two interactive models for working with the public and a cannon shell dating back from the First World War that the visitors could come in contact with. The answer sheet investigation made for the case gives a general idea about the reception of the exposition by the public, while at the same time its open and closed answers predispose co-optation to the museum experience.
