Summary/Abstract: Motivational factors are factors that encourage an individual to act in a certain way, i.e. to achieve certain goals or satisfy their needs. They are key to motivating individuals in a business environment, but they are also important in other aspects of life. On the other hand, work performance refers to the ability of an individual or an organization to effectively perform their tasks and achieve their goals in the work environment. The process of measuring work performance is carried out by defining work performance criteria, evaluating work performance and providing management feedback on employee performance and performance. Some of the most commonly used methods are: the method of comparing the work performance of employees, evaluation scales, checklists, MOB (Management by objective), critical cases method, TAManalysis, TASCAN method, expected behavior scale, assessment of critical cases and selfassessment control method. Each of these methods has its advantages and disadvantages and is applied in different situations depending on the goals and needs of the organization. The subject of this paper is motivational factors and their influence on work performance in a kindergarten owned by the city of Split. The problem of this paper is how the identified motivational factors influence the work performance in a kindergarten owned by the city of Split. The aim of this research is to investigate whether and to what extent motivational factors are used in a kindergarten owned by the city of Split and how they affect the work performance of employees. For the purpose of conducting the research, the survey method, the correlation method and the variance analysis method will be used. The results of the research will show that motivational factors have a positive effect on the work performance of employees of a kindergarten owned by the city of Split.
