ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF USING AI IN ROMANIAN OR FOREIGN LANGUAGE COURSES

Summary/Abstract: In this article, I have tried to present several advantages and disadvantages of using AI by teachers in university-level Romanian or foreign language courses. I believe that AI enhances learning experiences, efficiently manages administrative tasks to save teachers' time, and offers real-time feedback to students, thus revolutionizing education and adapting to the individual needs of both students and teachers. The introduction of AI tools, such as presentation creators, virtual teaching assistants, and adaptive learning platforms, transforms teaching methodologies, making educational resources more engaging, personalized, and effective. Ethical considerations must be a priority when adopting AI in education, with an emphasis on student data privacy, academic integrity and maintaining the value of human interaction in the learning process. In contemporary society, there is a very interesting phenomenon regarding the relationship between scientific progress and education. This connection is not new; it has been present throughout all eras and civilizations, consisting of the transmission of scientific and technical advancements through teaching activities. What makes this connection particularly interesting today is the presence of the computer and its use in instructional organization, educational management, or pedagogical research.
