Report on the Session “Comparative Perspective on Legal Survivals in the Central European Post-Socialist Legal Space” at the 8th Biennial Conference of the European Society for Comparative Law, University of Szeged, July 2–4, 2025

Summary/Abstract: On July 2-4 2025, the 8th Biennial Conference of the European Society for Comparative Legal History (hereinafter: ESCLH Conference) was held at the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences at the University of Szeged (Hungary), with this year’s theme being History Back to the Past and Building the Future. It was a very large scientific event, comprising many parallel sessions on a variety of topics. This report concerns one of the thematic sections, which in practice turned out to be a kind of small workshop held within the framework of this major conference.
