Summary/Abstract: The great thinkers of the Silver Age of Russian philosophy – such as Nikolai Berdyaev, Semyon Frank, Vladimir Solovyov, and Nikolay Lossky – are a rich source of inspiration for the philosophy of education. These thinkers were deeply concerned with the human spirit, freedom, moral and religious values. Their work can play a significant role in enriching the theoretical and practical foundations of education. The philosophers of this era are well-suited to opening new horizons in education, providing a foundation for future teachers to help children grow into free adults. Nikolai Berdyaev's philosophy is both accessible and profound. His ideas, particularly those applicable to education, are of outstanding importance. Central to Berdyaev's philosophy are creativity and human freedom, which are closely linked to the nature and purpose of the human spirit. In his view, the ultimate goal of human existence is the liberation of the spirit. Education should therefore consist not only in the transmission of knowledge but also in the development of inner freedom, creativity and responsibility, an approach that Berdyaev's human-centred approach can help with. Education would thus be not only a mechanical process, but also a deeply personal, spiritual experience that supports the self-expression of the individual.
