Summary/Abstract: This article focuses on administrative law issues related to the possibility of handling administrative offenses in environmental protection using a restorative approach. First, it analyses selected substantive and procedural institutions of administrative law, theoretical issues of the approach, and examines the existing legal situation. It then formulates findings and, on this basis, evaluates the assumptions of the current legal framework in terms of more effective involvement of the perpetrator of an administrative offense in eliminating its negative consequences. Following the analysis, the article also deals with de lege ferenda proposals.
