Summary/Abstract: In this study, we propose to present the spiritual and historical significance of the moment of "breaking the bread" during the Last Supper, as well as the saving importance of the Holy Eucharist in the lives of Christians. I will evoke the essential importance of bread contained in the Lord's Prayer, as well as the necessity of bread, as a divine gift, in the Holy Eucharist. Bread, as a material used in the divine worship of the Orthodox Church, has profound symbolism, as well as multiple meanings derived from the experience of faith by people throughout history, by the saving work of our Lord Jesus Christ in His Church and in the lives of Christians.
