Social Entrepreneurship in Support of Bulgaria’s Natural Heritage

Summary/Abstract: Bulgaria is a country that has hidden within itself the natural wealth that has been formed for millions of years and gives no reason to be proud of the whole world. However, ignorance, which unfortunately also thrives in our latitudes, has distinguished biological species that are found in few places in the world. The worst part is that many more are about to disappear. Climate change, poaching, ignorance and misunderstanding of nature and the animal world, the occupation of wild territories that were the habitat of the animal species in question, the composition of pesticides and poisons, but above all the stupidity of humanity, are the reasons for their elimination from the territory To Bulgaria. The development explores the activities of non-governmental organizations aimed at the protection of biological diversity in the country and the reintroduction of animal species that have been wiped out from our lands. The reason for the disappearance of the tusks (European bison)and lynx from Bulgaria is traced, as well as the positive impact that would be had with their resettlement.
