Summary/Abstract: In all civilized societies, the state has to find a balance in terms of coexistence between the general interest of society and the individual interest, without prejudicing them. In some situations, violation of people’s legitimate rights and interests may generate contentious-administrative litigations in relation to which demand is especially made to suspend enforcement of the illegal administrative act which is the source of imminent harm. This study aims to approach some of the issues relating to suspension of administrative acts according to art. 14 and 15 of Law 554/2004, starting from general elements applicable in all cases, offering specifics on concrete situations and identifying the correctness or incorrectness of some points of view and some solutions adopted by jurisprudence.
