Summary/Abstract: It is undeniable that artificial intelligence (AI) is a technological frontier with a profound impact on modern societies, being one of the greatest technical achievements ever achieved. In the context of its rapid evolution, the regulation of AI has become a priority at international, European and national levels. Therefore, the perspective of addressing the issue aims not only to regulate the use of AI but, above all, to ensure a responsible and ethical development of these technologies. Consequently, the need to implement ethics in the use of AI is imperative and constitutes a major challenge to involve those involved in the attempt to control an evolutionary phenomenon whose consequences are insufficiently known or not yet known. Ethics in this field and at the level of the academic environment, requires the outline of a coherent regulatory framework, based on unanimously recognized principles and on clear lines defining the responsibility associated with the use of AI.
