Summary/Abstract: This paper discusses some features of the Sjenica dialect. First, an overview of the Sandžak dialect will be provided, including its subdivision into subdialects and the varieties encompassed by these subdialects. Subsequently, based on a corpus consisting of material collected through interviews with informants who are native speakers of the Sjenica dialect, certain characteristics of this dialect will be highlighted. The analysis will focus on three linguistic aspects: phonetic, morphological, and syntactic. Within phonetics, the vowel system and consonantism will be examined. The morphological aspect will include nouns, pronouns (nominal and adjectival), adjectives, verbs (simple and compound verb forms), and indeclinable words. As for the syntactic level, brief attention will be given to the functions of grammatical cases.
