Summary/Abstract: As in Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian, and Montenegrin languages, the substantive phrase with non-congruent attribute in the instrumental with a preposition pred(a) has not been given sufficient attention in the journalistic-publicistic style, the intention in this paper is to describe these constructions. We will illustrate how the constructions with the preposition pred(a), although having spatial references in their referential meaning in which IR is a localizer, whose front side is directly or remotely filled with LO, are also semantically transposed into more abstract domains of meaning. This is how different meanings of these constructions develop. At the very beginning, we discuss the proximate instrumental and the primary meaning of this construction model (i.e., the spatial model). Finally, we also discuss causal, presentational, temporal and thematic constructions.
