Summary/Abstract: Starting from the premise that myth is not merely an archaic form of thought but a persistent structure that is reactivated across different historical contexts, this paper examines the relationship between ancient cosmogonic patterns and modern avant-garde projects. The analysis focuses on a comparative reading of the Babylonian epic Enuma Elish and the concept of the Barbarogenius in the Zenithist movement of Ljubomir Micić. The central hypothesis is that the Barbarogenius can be interpreted as a secularized version of the mythological hero, with both models relying on the same structural logic: the creation of a new order is conditioned by a radical rupture with the previous state, while violence emerges as a constitutive act of creation. The analysis demonstrates that the cosmogonic myth in Enuma Elish establishes a paradigm of creation through destruction, which, in the modern context, is transformed into symbolic and cultural forms within the avant-garde. In this sense, Zenithism is interpreted as a form of secular cosmogony, in which the Barbarogenius assumes the role of a mythic subject who initiates rupture and enables a new beginning. The paper thus points to the continuity of mythic thinking within modern culture and opens up the possibility for further research into the relationship between myth, violence, and creation in twentieth-century literature and art.
