Summary/Abstract: This paper explores the relationship between freedom and truth in the film The Matrix through the philosophical perspectives of Immanuel Kant, Alexis de Tocqueville, and Žarko Vidović. The analysis argues that, despite its humanistic and Christian symbolism and rhetoric, The Matrix ultimately promotes a revolutionary transformation of humanist society into a post-anti-humanist social order. Such an order rejects the concept of governance based on balancing the various interests and elements of society, replacing it with a model founded on the principle of unrestricted freedom for its most powerful actors.
