Summary/Abstract: The article presents a theoretical and empirical perspective on the relational determinants of adolescents' mood. The theoretical section outlines the contemporary landscape of interpersonal relations within the family, school, peer groups, and the broader socio-technological environment. It is emphasized that the decreasing quality of family relations, the overload experienced by adults, and the ambiguity of relations within the school environment may influence adolescents' emotional functioning. The importance of supportive peer relationships and the impact of external stressors, such as uncertainty about the future or global events, is also highlighted. The aim of the study was to determine to what extent school-related, peer-related, and external relations co-shape students' mood at the beginning of the school year. Research questions addressed the influence of relations with teachers and school, peer relations, and external factors on the general mood of adolescents. A diagnostic survey was conducted using an online questionnaire completed by 142 students from a technical college and a vocational school. Statistical analyses included frequency distributions and Pearson's r correlations. The results showed that peer relations have the strongest association with students' mood, while school-related and external relations demonstrated weaker or more incidental links. The low influence of the school environment on students' mood was identified as concerning, indicating the need for further research on teacher-student relations.
