Summary/Abstract: A growing population lives in cities and urban areas, and forecasts indicate that this number will increase in the near term. There is no doubt that urban development is driven by rural depopulation, but also by migration. The evolution and constant strengthening of cities' position creates opportunities, but also generates new problems and challenges for city authorities and policies, as well as individuals. The idea of human rights cities increasingly responds to the needs of the contemporary world. Of course, it is a multi-faceted concept encompassing a range of issues. Given the social and civilizational changes, paying attention to human rights in cities seems obvious and necessary today. The answer to strengthening them is a standardized legal system that recognizes the needs of residents and creates room for development on many levels and spheres. For this reason, these phenomena are becoming an interesting research area.
