The work for voice and piano Tanky, Op. 1 by Nikolai Stoikov

Summary/Abstract: This current publication aims to direct our attention to the relatively unknown opus 1- vocal cycle "Tanky" 1966 by the composer Nikolai Stoikov. The work is indicative of the creative aspirations of the young composer. In this work are found specific techniques, marking his style - usage of modern sheet music - dropping reinforcing signs for tone affiliation, mostly arbitrary metric organization of the musical material etc. The emphasis in the publication is put on the composition development of the vocal and piano party in the four songs of the cycle, reflecting a kaleidoscope of emotional reminiscences and impressions. The work points out the desire of the composer to find new creative spaces.
