Summary/Abstract: The article examines the pastoral ministry of the Catholic Church among immigrant communities in South Florida, presenting the Miami–Fort Lauderdale–West Palm Beach region as a case of a multicultural and multilingual pastoral context. It outlines the main immigrant groups and their socio-economic conditions and then compares the Church’s teaching (from Rerum novarum to Fratelli tutti) with concrete parish practices and the work of Catholic Charities. The study identifies key challenges—such as language barriers, trauma, legal insecurity, and limited resources—as well as effective practices based on accompaniment, integration, and the defence of human dignity. The conclusions emphasize the need for intercultural formation, the promotion of lay leadership, and a shift from pastoral care “for migrants” to pastoral care “with migrants” as a model for the future of the Church in migrant societies.
