Summary/Abstract: The Rondo for piano in C minor from Dimitar Nenov’s so-called “Dresden creative period” is a keyboard work that reveals a sense of intense artistic development in a relatively young composer who would later become a classic figure in Bulgarian musical tradition. This development unfolds under the beneficial influence of the vibrant musical life in Dresden and Germany, which enriches Nenov’s innate creative maturity and intuition and enables the creation of striking works by the young composer, including a Symphony, symphonic compositions, a Sonata for violin and piano, piano pieces, and the Piano Sonata in E-flat minor. Among these works, the piano Rondo in C minor stands out as a distinctive bridge between Nenov’s early years and the mature brilliance of his Dresden period.
