Summary/Abstract: A composer and pianist Dimitar Nenov left his mark in history of bulgarian music of 20th Century. He is architecture graduates in Dresden, Germany. In this period (1920–1927) he also worked as pianist in Cinema theater and as Ballet music director. After his return to Bulgaria in August 1927 he worked as architect. Most active are eight months in Borisovgrad. In this town – in 1928 – Nenov creates the song “Sun died out” after PeyoYavorov. On 4 April 1929 young composers Dimitar Nenov and Assen Naydenov give authors concert in Sofia. In the concert program Nenov presents nearly whole chamber music, composed himself – Piano Sonata es moll (1921–1922), Six atonal pieces (other name of Cinema- Suite) for piano (1924–1925). Singer Dafi na Barakova and author Dimitar Nenov perform five songs for soprano and piano: two songs after Ch. Boudlaire (1922), “Autumn” (1921) for poetic text Svetoslav Minkov, and two songs, completed in Bulgaria. The works – “Sun died out” and “Lied”, composed in March 1929 – after Dora Gabe. In the end of Concert is first performance in Bulgaria of Concert piano and orchestra № 2 – A dur by Ferenc Liszt with accompaniment of Julia Scraba – II piano. From this concert starts legendary pianistic way of composer-virtuoso in Bulgaria.
