Summary/Abstract: On the tenth anniversary of the announcement of the Belt and Road Initiative, there is sufficient data to assess its impact on Central Asian countries. China is already the region’s main trading partner and investor within the framework of the initiative. The progress of the countries can be assessed using two sets of indicators: economic and social. Taking into account the unfavorable changes in the economic and political situation between 2014 and 2023/24, we can conclude that the Belt and Road Initiative has a stabilizing role and contributes to the moderately positive development of Central Asia, with very good prospects.
