Summary/Abstract: The article discusses "Bogengang. Gedichte und lyrische Prosa" by Joachim Wittstock as a retrospective collection that revisits the author’s lyrical and lyrical-prose texts from different creative periods. Rather than presenting new material, the volume reflects on poetic memory, literary self-positioning, and the role of lyric poetry within Romanian-German literature under communism. Particular attention is given to the symbolic meaning of the Bogengang motif and to the collection’s contribution to understanding the transition from modernist to postmodern tendencies in Romanian-German poetry.
