Summary/Abstract: Issues regarding information needs for managing innovation in a company are presented in the paper. The authors describe the concept of cost classification and practical solutions in typical reporting for assessing analysis of the efficiency of innovation activities in companies. The concept is depicted against the background of general issues related to internal factors which influence the system of innovation process management.
