Summary/Abstract: This article is another piece in a series prepared under the project ‘The Ombudsman as a Guarantor of the Protection of the Fundamental Rights of Migrants’. Its aim was to analyse the activities undertaken by the Commissioner for Human Rights to protect migrants’ rights in Poland in comparison with the activities of the Greek and Swedish Ombudsmen based on the four-pillar model of the ombudsman functioning developed in project research. The analysis carried out in the article indicates that the currently functioning procedural standards of migrants’ rights are not effective in practice and need to be strengthened. Thus, there is a need to establish a specialised Ombudsman for Migrants at the national level. The presented proposal to establish the above-mentioned office was based on the model of functioning of the Ombudsman for Patients and the Ombudsman for Small and Medium-Sized Entrepreneurs. The article uses the dogmatic-legal and comparative legal methods.
