Summary/Abstract: The article discusses Taco Hemingway’s Jarmark (Bloomsbury Academic, 2025) by Kamila Rymajdo – the first English-language study devoted to the Polish rapper. The author analyses the album Jarmark (2020) in the context of Poland’s political and social transformation after 1989, presenting it as an artistic diagnosis of post-socialist reality. The central interpretative issue is the experience of migration, understood both as an individual condition and as a persistent element of Polish culture. Hemingway is portrayed as a re-emigrant seeking his own expressive language positioned between locality and globality. Rymajdo highlights the significance of poetic devices – rhythm, rhyme, and repetition – in constructing this identity.
