Summary/Abstract: The Association For Civil Emancipation And Politics Of Romanian Women – Braila Branch (1932-1946). The Association for Civil Emancipation and Politics of Romanian Women – Braila Branch was established in 1932, with the declared purpose of educating young girls from marginalized environments of society. The members of the association were also involved in numerous charitable activities. In just 14 years of operation they managed to awaken the interest of the local community, which actively participated in numerous cultural and social manifestations. The article is predominantly based on information from archival sources.
