LEARNING THE ELEMENTS OF MUSICAL LANGUAGE THROUGH STORYTELLING DURING THE ORAL-INTUITIVE STAGE

Summary/Abstract: The didactic activities that we realize with the children in the oral-intuitive stage are defining towards the perception they get towards music. No matter the type of activity we realize, it is important that it is created appropriately for the interests that are specific to the age of the children we work with. Therefore, based on the wish of making the elementary school children more attracted to music and more curious about the activities that we organize, we started to introduce storytelling, one of the most loved activities for children, during music class. The main goal of the musical activities accompanied by stories is to make the children more familiar with basic elements of music, satisfying their need for knowledge in a pleasant and interesting way.
