Summary/Abstract: This paper aims to examine the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in foreign language teaching, particularly French as a foreign language (FLE). Current research shows that, despite the rise of AI technologies and their potential for personalized, flexible, and engaging learning, the pedagogical, ethical, and socio-emotional dimensions remain largely underexplored. The study emphasizes the importance of training teachers in the use of AI tools to ensure a conscious and reflective use, while preserving the human interactions essential to foreign language learning. Finally, the study highlights the need to harmoniously combine technological innovations and human-centred pedagogy, relying on educational strategies grounded in empirical evidence.
