Summary/Abstract: The study uses the concept of autofiction to analyze the ethos of humorists who choose to make people laugh in the first person. Based on a contrastive and multimodal approach, it draws on the works of Fabcaro and Marc-Uwe Kling to show how the “I,” caught between civil identity and assumed invention, develops a point of view that is both embodied and situated, while maintaining a protective distance for the authors, which promotes the emergence of a “co-ludic pact” (Vorger, 2018), based on complicity and commitment.
