Summary/Abstract: The article examines the place of autofiction in contemporary Slovak literature after 2000 through the novel Seven Days to the Funeral by Ján Rozner. The analysis explores the interweaving of individual and collective memory, the genre’s liminal position between memoir, autobiographical novel, and autofiction, as well as the narrative’s self-reflexive strategies. The novel is interpreted as a literary testimony to the Socialist period and as a text in which memory becomes a central mechanism for the artistic processing of trauma, death, and history.
