These include linguistic accuracy, intercultural understanding, technological literacy, and analytical as well as creative problem-solving skills. The integration of AI-based tools, exemplified by the use of ChatGPT, is critically examined both as a learning resource and as a challenge to the development of independent competences. The paper also discusses the extent to which the use of such quality of sources and maintaining independent working strategies. The study highlights the importance of multimedia and interactive platforms such as Moodle, which allow for flexible and practical learning scenarios. These approaches not only support the acquisition of competences but also address didactic challenges such as learner heterogeneity and the complexity of the translation processes to be taught. The paper concludes with an outlook on the future development of translator training. It is emphasised that the targeted promotion of the competences of future translators is a crucial factor in preparing them for the dynamic and technology-driven demands of the international labour market.
