Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is to develop a valid and reliable scale to measure the awareness levels of dentists regarding ergonomic risks. This research is a methodological study. The research population consists of dentists and clinical dental students. The sample consists of a total of 144 dentists working primarily at Çanakkale Oral and Dental Health Center, ÇOMÜ Faculty of Dentistry, Biga Oral and Dental Health Center, and private practice. A socio-demographic questionnaire and a draft "Ergonomic Risks Awareness Scale in Dentistry" were used as data collection tools. In the validity evaluation of the developed scale, a trial application was first conducted on 25 dentists and exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was applied. As a result, one factor and 6 items were removed from the scale. The main application was conducted on 144 dentists with the draft scale, which has 7 factors and 24 items. Construct validity was examined by applying Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). According to the results of the analyses, the scale's Kaiser-Mayer-Olkin (KMO) value was 0.900, Bartlett's Sphericity Test (p< 0.001) value was p=0.0000, Bartlett χ² =3446.228, sd =276. The mean Cronbach's Alpha value of the scale was calculated as 0.906. The final scale developed consists of 7 sub-dimensions and 18 items. This scale, which measures dentists' awareness of ergonomic risks, was found to explain 83.972% of the total variance. As a result of all the analyses performed, this scale is a valid and reliable scale that can measure dentists' awareness of ergonomic risks.
