Summary/Abstract: This section brings together two distinct texts. The first presents the opening part of Swedish critic Fredrik Böök's travel account of Transylvania, originally published in Resa till Ungern (1927) after his 1926 journey through Hungary and post-1918 Romania. Combining travel writing with historical reflection, Böök portrays Transylvania as a culturally diverse region shaped by the coexistence of Hungarian, Romanian, German, and other traditions, while commenting on the political and cultural transformations that followed the First World War. The second text is a fragment of Suzana Fântânariu's artistic diary, in which autobiographical memories of childhood and drawing become the basis for a meditation on artistic identity, memory, loss, and the persistent creative impulse. Together, the two texts offer complementary perspectives on memory, cultural identity, and the relationship between personal experience and historical consciousness.
