Summary/Abstract: The three texts collectively explore different forms of travel writing and critical essay, focusing on how cultural identity, history, and ideology are constructed through writing. They examine Transylvania and broader European spaces as sites of historical memory and cultural interaction, while also addressing the role of intellectual interpretation in shaping meaning. One text analyzes interwar travel literature and its representation of Central European hybridity; another investigates a Securitate document and the ideological framing of a major Romanian theologian; and the third critiques a contemporary diary of travel and self-reflection in Western Europe. Together, they highlight how authorship becomes a space where personal experience, political context, and cultural narratives intersect and are continuously redefined.
