Summary/Abstract: In the Czechoslovakian film scene, Saless, born in Tehran, Iran, in 1944, was by then no longer a stranger: In late autumn 1982, he traveled to the country for the first time. Since filming Hans Frick's novel *Die blaue Stunde* (The Blue Hour, 1977) on location in Frankfurt was not possible, Ostrava in Silesia was chosen as the filming location. Hessischer Rundfunk (Hessian Broadcasting) and Slovenská filmová tvorba [Slovak Film Production] cooperated on the project.
