THE SIGNIFICANCE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN BUSINESS CRIMINAL LAW. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AS AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE STRATEGY TO COMBAT TAX EVASION IN ROMANIA

Summary/Abstract: Artificial intelligence is regarded as a novel solution to a range of issues facing contemporary society. The modern individual aims to simplify their life, a goal that increasingly drives reliance on intelligent systems. „The success of artificial intelligence is largely attributable to the creation of an environment conducive to its development, one in which intelligent technologies thrive while humans navigate this new domain as divers in uncharted waters. It is the world that adapts to artificial intelligence, rather than artificial intelligence adapting to the world”1. The field of business criminal law is increasingly intertwined with artificial intelligence. This emerging technology is redefining the ways in which small and medium-sized enterprises, marketing specialists, entrepreneurs, and communication professionals conduct their activities. Through the National Strategy on Artificial Intelligence 2024–2027, Romania is making a significant step toward positioning itself on the global map of societal and economic modernization. The National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence is a key objective undertaken by the Ministry of Research, Innovation, and Digitalization, in collaboration with the Authority for the Digitalization of Romania.
