Summary/Abstract: The crimes committed in the field of construction represent a prevalent phenomenon both in Romania and abroad. The article "Criminal liability in Construction Law. Special causes for penalty reduction regarding certain offences that can be committed in the field of construction." aims to present theoretical and practical aspects specific to criminal liability in construction law, with the goal of providing a valid set of information regarding the conditions for the application of causes for penalty reduction in the case of offences that can be committed in construction law.Criminal liability represents the most serious form of legal liability and consists of the obligation of the person who has culpably violated the norm of criminal law to bear the legal consequences of his act. In the absence of the perpetrator's guilt, his deed, however serious it may be, does not constitute a crime. Criminal punishment is represented by a measure of repressive deprivation and can only exist when the criminal law provides for it.
