Summary/Abstract: This article investigates the structural relationship between liturgy and the eschatological resurrection of the body in the theological corpus of Romano Guardini. In dialogue with contemporary expressions of eschatological skepticism, it reconsiders how Guardini’s sacramental and liturgical thought articulates the anticipation of the resurrection as the consummation of embodied human existence. Through a hermeneutical engagement with his principal works, the study traces the internal coherence of his theological vision, moving from a personalist account of the human person, through its Christological and paschal grounding, to an eschatological horizon of transfigured corporeality. It is argued that, in Guardini’s perspective, liturgy cannot be reduced to symbolic expression or devotional practice, but must be understood as a formative reality − formatio corporis − in which the human body is progressively configured through liturgical gesture to its final eschatological transformation. Within this sacramental horizon, the resurrection emerges not merely as a future doctrinal content, but as a present, though anticipatory, mode of transformation operative within ecclesial existence. Consequently, Guardini’s liturgical theology constitutes a significant resource for contemporary theological anthropology, particularly in its integration of embodiment, sacramentality, and eschatological fulfillment.
