Summary/Abstract: The promulgation of the Second Vatican Council’s declaration Nostra Aetate marked a turning point in the Catholic Church’s understanding of Judaism and in the development of Jewish-Christian relations. Among its enduring theological implications was a renewed appreciation of the common scriptural heritage shared by Christians and Jews, which opened new avenues for reflection on eschatological questions. This article investigates the notion of Judeo-Christian eschatology and evaluates its significance for post-conciliar theology. Drawing upon selected documents of the Magisterium of the Church as well as contemporary theological scholarship, it demonstrates how renewed engagement with Judaism has enriched Christian eschatological reflection and contributed to a deeper understanding of salvation history.
